Meet our Staff...
Miss Ashley has been working in the Early Childhood Education field for over 15 years. Ashley has owned the school since 2004. She has been an assistant teacher, teacher, and has been running the school for 12 years now. Throughout college, and several years after, Ashley worked for the ARC, bridging the gap between schools, specialists, and home life in the lives of special needs children and their families. This school was Miss Ashley's dream and has been her passion every day since that dream came true. Ashley is a mom of two fur babies, her cats Marty and Hank, and son, Max!
Miss Whitney earned her Masters from the State University of New York Cortland and has been working in Early Childhood Education for over 12 years. Miss Whitney has been teaching at Allwood Play and Learn for 6 years. She is currently working in the office in a directorial role. Whitney is a mom to her three children, her oldest son Nikolai, an Allwood Play an Learn graduate, daughter Brielle who also graduated Allwood Play and Learn, and youngest son Laine who is currently attending!
Miss Connie has been teaching at Allwood Play and Learn for 14 years now. Connie has helped start and continue to grow our pumpkin patch and pumpkin fundraiser with help from her families farm for several years now. Connie has two sons, Zach and Connor, a dog named Duke, and two cats Callie and Ace.
Miss Vicki has been teaching at Allwood Play and Learn for 15 years now. Over the years Miss Vicki has been an integral part of our schools expansion, serving in many different capacities at our school. Vicki helped organize our initial lunch programs and has been implementing our 3's curriculum for over 10 years. She is a mom to her son Frankie, daughter Gianna, and her dog Dolce.
Miss Ana has been teaching at Allwood Play and Learn for 8 years. Miss Ana is one of our original Summer Camp teachers, and one of our first aftercare staff members, she helped our virtual big kid learners during the pandemic, and has most experience with our littles crew where she will return later this school year. She is mom to her oldest son Jacob who graduated from Allwood Play and Learn, daughter, Lily, and and her youngest son arriving soon!
Miss Marie B earned her B.A. from CUNY SPS and has been teaching at Allwood Play and Learn for 6 years now. Miss Marie works in our morning care, welcoming all of our early risers to school every day. Marie is a mom to her oldest son Milo, and Daryl who is a current APL member!
Miss Sam has been at Allwood Play and Learn for 3 years now. She will be working along side Miss Marie this school year. She loves being around kids and just seeing them smile and laugh brightens her day! Sam is always excited to spend her days being silly and learning with her class.
Miss Marie E. has been teaching at Allwood Play and Learn while she has continued to attend college. She graduated from Rutgers University with a major in Communications - Public Relations, and a minor in Psychology, and is now working on a Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Education!
Miss Odalys has four years of experience working with children in a classroom and absolutely loves it. She has an Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education and is currently working on her Bachelor’s degree also in Early Childhood Education. She also has a current APL member named Rose!
